MNC offers extensive patient care, sight enhancement, rehabilitation services, and impactful rural eye health programs. It also engages in cutting-edge research and provides training for all levels of ophthalmic personnel.
LEPRA’s eye care intervention began as part of disability management, addressing the reluctance of general eye care professionals to treat leprosy-affected individuals due to stigma and close contact concerns. This hesitation prevented early diagnosis and treatment, leading to severe eye problems. Initially focused on leprosy-affected patients, MNC’s services expanded to meet the high demand from the general population through collaborations with government and other like-minded agencies.
