It fills me with immense pride to reflect on the journey of Mahanadi Netra Chikitsalaya (MNC). From our humble beginnings with a small team of 10, we have grown into a leading eye care institution in Western Odisha, employing over 110 staff members. Our mission has been to deliver high-quality, affordable eye care services while building trust within the communities we serve. We have pioneered services such as contact lenses, low vision support, and a modular operating theatre. Our reach extends across multiple districts, including Sonepur, Boudh, Bargarh, Kandhamal, Angul, Sambalpur, Kalahandi, and Bolangir, where we have restored vision to over 1,50,000 cataract patients and provided corrective spectacles to more than 80,000 individuals with refractive errors. Our commitment to training emerging ophthalmologists and local youth through fellowships and hands-on experience highlights our dedication to advancing eye care and addressing avoidable blindness. As we continue this vital work, our drive to achieve even greater milestones remains strong, focused on our ultimate goal of eliminating avoidable blindness.
